Tuition Fees & Costs of Living

Living Expenses and tuition fee:
Living costs (including accommodation in a student dormitory and health insurance) in Regensburg range from Euro 600 to 1000 per month for a single person. There is NO tuition fee, but a student service fee of Euro 131 per semester which includes public transportation.

Single rooms for students under 30 years of age are available in student dormitories administered by the Studentenwerk, University of Regensburg, with monthly rents starting at approximately Euro 200 and ranging up to Euro 300. The International Office will, upon request, provide additional housing assistance for accepted students. Private housing is usually more expensive, but offers a wider range of options (e.g., flat-sharing). Health Insurance:
German health insurance is obligatory for all students who are not citizens of the European Union. Special public health insurance is available to all students under 30 years of age at low rates. This insurance covers the costs of normal medical treatment (including dental care) in Germany. The monthly payment is currently Euro 80,-.
